Amazima has 210 children enrolled in a nursery school in Masese. These children come to school and receive breakfast and an education, free of charge. The school is a safe haven for many of the children that live in difficult homes. The teachers are warm and compassionate. Most importantly, they teach the children about the love of a Savior.
When asking teacher Harriet why she comes to work every day, she shared
her love of children with us and the call she feels on her life:
"You know, it is in the bible to train up a child in the way he should go.
If you do this, he will not depart from it."
Such sweet and beautiful pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Amazima team!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Francine and I'm a school teacher in Brazil. I would like to know if your ministry has a program to take foreign teachers to work in your school. I would certainly love that!
Thank you!

DeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteI am interested in knowing what the school fees are for each child per term. I am also wondering if there is more space or if you are at your full capacity now. Thanks so much,
K.

Hi Mimi! Thank you for your interest! It costs 300 per year to cover the school fees, school supplies, and basic care needs of children in our program. Adding more children depends on funding for the fees, care, and mentors. You can learn more at www.amazima.org/sponsor.html
DeleteHey,
DeleteMy name is Pam DeMott. I am a missionary in Yamaranguila Intibuca Honduras. I have lived her for more than 18 years. I was a homemaker and have 5 children, three of those 5 were raised in Honduras. I just wanted to encourage you in your calling. I just bought your book and read your latest blog. I have 30 girls right now, and am planning to open a boys home up the road this next year. I have had tons of victories over my tons of problems working here, but if I had to choose to do it all over, I would choose the same course. I didn't get saved until I was in my late twenties and I didn't get into the mission field until my late thirties, but the only thing I regret is not getting saved sooner. I am thankful for your heart for the children, and for the energy you bring to the Kingdom of God
