Hi everyone, it's Karen!
This blog is where Amazima posts updates about the work going on in Uganda and the difference you are making in the lives of orphaned children. We love communicating with you via blog because it is free and easy to update with stories, photos, and videos about the beautiful children and people Amazima serves WITH YOUR HELP AND GOD'S PROVISION.
Because we are receiving emails asking details about where and when you can catch Katie in the next few weeks, we wanted to share specifics with you!
First, Katie rarely visits the United States (usually once a year) and during those occasions she often does not venture too far from her hometown of Brentwood, TN. But she is HERE in the United States speaking in several churches about Jesus, Uganda, adoption, and God's heart for the poor. This tour is sponsored by her publisher (Howard Books, a Division of Simon & Schuster) with excitement for the release of her book, Kisses from Katie: A Story of Relentless Love and Redemption. Katie is traveling with two of her precious daughters (as well as her parents).
TODAY, Thursday, October 6, Katie is speaking at Catalyst in Atlanta, GA. Do you see that big stage in the center of thousands of Christian leaders? Katie will be standing on THAT STAGE sharing about Jesus in front of 13,000 people.
Sunday night, October 9, 6:00 pm, Katie will be speaking in the evening service at Shadow Mountain Community Church in San Diego, CA. This is the home church of Dr. David Jeremiah, a pastor and author we know and respect so much. We are truly humbled Shadow Mountain invited Katie! It's FREE!
Monday night, October 10, 7:00 pm, Katie shares at Mariner's Church Mission Viejo campus in Orange County, CA, pastored by Mike Erre, who was an early endorser of Katie's book and has been cheerleading her story with such grace. It's FREE!
Thursday, October 13, 10:30 am, Katie speaks at Lipscomb University Chapel in Nashville, TN. They are currently doing a series on the beatitudes and have invited Katie to share her story. It's FREE!
Sunday, October 16, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 6:00 pm, Katie's last appearance will be at The Church at Brookhills in Birmingham, AL. A while ago Katie shared on her blog about Pastor David Platt's Radical series and emplored her readers to listen to it online. She has personally been imacted by his message of radical commitment to the gospel of Christ. Katie will join David Platt for a portion of the regularly scheduled worship service.
Any honorarium Katie receives she is donating to Amazima.
Please will you be in prayer for Katie as she travels and speaks at these different locations? Thank you so much for all your kind notes and emails. We feel so loved! Our sincere prayer is that anyone who comes to hear Katie speak will experience the passion of Jesus, and that He will be glorified by everything we say and do at Amazima!

blessings to you all and to Katie...praying for her as she is doing all these activities...so wish I could have been at Catalyst. trusting the Lord to use His servant to honor and glorify His name.
