New Staff and New Website

There's a lot going on at Amazima right now!

We're excited to announce our new In-Country Program Director, Jeremy Shull.  Jeremy brings experience, enthusiasm, and a heart for God having come from the non-profit sector working for International Justice Mission.  Jeremy will be overseeing our Uganda program staff, working side by side with Katie to implement all our programs, and launching new programs as our outreach continues to grow.  Please be in prayer for Jeremy and his wife as they will be moving to Uganda, adjusting to the culture, and building relationships with our in-country staff and the people we serve.

We have also hired a stateside employee, Brenda Davenport.  Many of you know that Amazima was birthed by God, and up to this point its operations have been run by volunteers.  Because of this, we've had an administrative overhead of 2%, sending .98 of every dollar to Uganda.  At this point, however, because of our rapid growth, we have hired Brenda to oversee operations stateside, and we are very excited about her can-do attitude and experience.  We are also moving into a very small office.  Our commitment to administrative detail and donor care is extremely strong, and even though it might mean a small increase in our overhead, it will also mean improved communication with our beloved donors who, through Jesus, make all this work possible.

Finally, Amazima will be launching a new website.  http://www.amazima.org/.  We couldn't be more thrilled.  The old website was, well, old.  :)  We hope the new website will better explain our programs, our ministry, our story, our commitment to Jesus, Katie's passion, and the many lives you are changing through your prayer and support.  This site was built through the help of volunteers and our friend Joe Terranova.

MUCH love to you.
