Eleven o'clock rolls around again on Saturday. All of our Amazima children pile into the chapel, which is getting tighter as our programs grow. You might think that we grow weary of this routine, bored even. We can assure you, we do not! The space comes to life as everyone begins to clap joyfully while singing their hearts out.
The Saturday worship time is one of the most beautiful events in our program. While we rejoice as these 630+ children advance in school, are fed daily, and are treated medically, discipleship remains one of the most crucial and important parts of our sponsorship program.
This is a time for communion with close friends that get to share these few hours together during the week. It is a time to reflect on the past week and hope for the weeks to come.
One of the lines these children sing is,
"Somewhere, in the future,
I look much better than I do right now!"
Isn't that the hope we all have in Christ?
It is a time set aside for all of us to say thank you to our Creator for what he has done for us.
And trust us, these children say it well!
Join us in prayer as we prepare for another Saturday program this weekend!
